Jerry Montgomery, Ph.D.

Received his Ph.D. in Geophysics from the University of Utah.

As a young man in the 1950's Jerry became interested in rocketry and nuclear physics along with collecting rocks and fossils. In school math, science and electronics ultimately lead him to physics. Then Jerry learned there was a way to combine rock collecting with physics which lead to geophysics. Jerry obtained an A.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Physics and Math at Weber State College. He obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Utah in Geophysics and Geology.

For forty plus year's geophysics was foremost and during this time Jerry invented and patented AquaTrack a technology that maps groundwater. He has also developed several other proprietary technologies. Jerry's Started his career working in gravity making over 12,000 to create the first gravity map for the State of Utah. During his career he also worked in geomagnetism, geo-electricity, and geo-electromagnetics; all to investigate the hidden geologic structures of the earth.

Subsequently Jerry worked for the US army in NBC (nuclear, biological and chemical defense). Then he worked for the Bureau of Mines and Bureau of Reclamation.

Jerry started his own company and lab in the mid 90's. This company has grown and is now mapping leaks in dams and solve all types of groundwater problems.

Physics and ideas have always lurks in Jerry's life. Many of his ideas and thoughts about physics and science are what this site is about.
